Wind is rarely uniform.
In Dalmatia especially.

Between buildings.
In narrow streets.
On terraces framed by walls.

Here air accelerates.

What feels open
can suddenly become forceful.

Many wonder
why sun protection remains calm in one place
and constantly moves in another.

The reason is rarely the system.
It is the surroundings.

What happens between buildings.

Air takes the easiest path.
And speeds up
when space narrows.

Between walls
pressure builds.
Suction forms.
Flow accelerates.

This feels different
than open wind.

And it affects technology differently.

Why this matters.

Sun protection reacts to movement.
Not forecasts.

When wind is channelled
localized loads appear.

A system working well in open space
may become restless here.

Not because it is poor.
But because placement is wrong.

The right response is context.

Good sun protection is planned
not only by region
but by situation.

Distances.
Wall heights.
Openings.

All influence
how air behaves.

Considering this
prevents surprises later.

Why this is common in Dalmatia.

Many areas are densely built.
Old towns.
Modern complexes.
Terraces between volumes.

Wind channels appear faster
than expected.

My conclusion.

Not all wind is visible.
But all wind acts.

If you plan sun protection in Dalmatia
do not only look up.

Look sideways too.

That keeps systems calm.
Even when air accelerates.
